Pure Contentment and Tranquility + Celebrate your Growth

And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought [Q30: Vs 21].

It is He who sent down tranquility into the hearts of the believers that they would increase in faith along with their [present] faith. And to Allah belong the soldiers of the heavens and the earth, and ever is Allah Knowing and Wise [Q48: Vs 4].

And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], “uff,” and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word [Q17: Vs 23].

We often get too engrossed in the sadness of what we wish we had or the comparison with those we see that appears to have more – Sekinat Sanni

I took a stroll

Minding the clapping of my legs on the cold floor

Immeasurable joy grows within to check up on my mother breathing softly

With her eyes closed

Clearly exhausted from the day’s home job

Dedicated to the maintenance of her family

Peace of mind

Is rooted deeply as I gaze lovingly

Upon the breadwinner

Feeling content listening to the sound of his snores

They speak tales of battles won with prayer, respect, humility and love

Proud little moments

Are those of which I hear arguments

Coming from the closed doors

Just beside my little room

The love between siblings grows tender

When they misunderstand to understand and eventually learn

Continuously from one another

A lot of little everyday happenings

Overlooked as not important

But hold positive impacts in the sustainability

Of our lives…

Honestly, I wrote this during one of those nights wherein I was just alone in my room. The verses highlighted above really resonated deeply with all the emotions I felt. Words wouldn’t be enough to express how thankful I am for everything whatsoever we have been through.

We often get too engrossed in the sadness of what we wish we had or the comparison with those we see that appears to have more. Instead of just being appreciative and content with the stage we are at in life.

What are those things that are your priorities in life?

Who are those you are taking for granted?

How grateful are you to your Lord, Parents, Life, Siblings, Family, Surroundings?

How do you find tranquility?

Look closely to the things around you, in your livelihood and surrounding. Appreciate everything and find tranquility anything. Don’t bask in the comfort of ingratitude and. You never know what life might throw at you.
